Holy moley, a second book! When you all bugged me to write the first
one, I never dreamed you’d ask for a second. But after the response to
the first book, it was easy to talk me into it. I have been blessed to
be surrounded by amazing women who, at first glance, are as ordinary as
you and me. Yet because of the challenging situations in which they found
themselves, did some pretty extraordinary things. In the process, they
have changed the course of their lives by uplifting, inspiring and
empowering those around them. They have forever earned themselves a
place of honor among The Sacred Sisterhood of Wonderful Wacky Women.
Their stories deserve to be told.
The book is hard-bound with 107 full-color pages. It is wrapped with a
brilliant, eye-catching presentation dust jacket. There are 11 chapters
including 16 images and matching stories. They are followed by a few
pages of the true story of the woman behind each image. Then, just to
spice things up, there is a recipe at the end of each chapter.
Introduction to She Who is a Military Wife
Like a lot of 13-year-olds, Jimmy, my best friend’s son, was a
little snot. But he wasn’t the only one. For four consecutive years, I
was the Sunday School teacher for a group of the most obnoxious,
out-of-control teens anyone had ever seen. They had blasted through a
series of teachers the year before I got them. By the time I walked
into the classroom, they had honed their get-rid-of-the-new-teacher
skills down to a science. And Jimmy led the pack.
But, despite it all, I really liked Jimmy. What is a surprise to
some, but not to me, is that Jim has turned out to be one of the finest
young men our country has. Jim is a Marine.
