Finding the Perfect Daughter Birthday Gifts
Trying to find great daughter birthday gifts is not as easy as it sounds. We think we know our daughters yet at the same time, as they have grown into women of their own making, we don’t know them at all. Since I have five grown daughters, I’ve really given some thought to this. I have bought more than my share of really great daughter birthday gifts as well as some pretty bad ones as well. I have also, received from my mother, daughter birthday gifts, some of which I seriously wondered “What was my mother thinking???."
Wouldn’t if be wonderful if we really could go into a store where they have those personal shoppers who help you find something special and they really could do it. But then how can they help you find the perfect daughter birthday gifts when they don’t know your daughter? I usually resort to fretting about it for months ahead and then at the last minute I run around like a crazy person, in and out of gift shops or searching the internet using keywords like daughter birthday gifts hoping the computer will magically turn up something never before seen and have a flashing banner bearing my name saying “These are the perfect daughter birthday gifts for you to give your daughter.”
Well guess what? It practically happened to me.
I was surfing the internet last week and typed in the words daughter birthday gifts and a zillion things came up. But as I took a closer look at them, I saw one that caught my eye. It had the words Wonderful Wacky Women in it. When I clicked through to the site it took me to a site called www.suzytoronto.com . Saying that this website had the perfect daughter birthday gifts is an understatement. The website is by an artist, author and self proclaimed wacky woman who totally “gets” women.
Right there on her home page is a button that says ‘daughter things’! Granted it wasn’t a neon, flashing sign, blinking the words daughter birthday gifts but it was close. I clicked through on the button and I couldn’t believe the wonderful, touching, heartfelt, wacky, funky, fun and every other adjective I can think of, stuff. I don’t usually impress very easy but this website has such wonder, super groovy stuff, I wanted to buy one of everything. The prices were quite fair and I ended up buying a lot of stuff. I ended up making two baskets full of her cute stuff and gave one to my daughter and one to my daughter-in-law. They were both a huge hit. Her selection of daughter birthday gifts was exactly what I was looking for.
